Shi Xiang XO Fish Head Bee Hoon at Yishun St 22 Blk 291 - Dinner with Stanley & G2

The weekend is here again and Stanley & G2 joined yours truly & Bob to one of our favorite makan place at Yishun St 22 Block 291 called Shi Xiang XO Fish Head Bee Hoon to tuck into simple Zhi Char fare which consists of :

Stir-fry Sambal Fish with Onions - I love that the sambal is pretty fragrant with the generous dose of shallots garlic onions, though I'd personally add the ginger bud flower to lift up the aroma & flavor. 

Stir-fry vegetables with garlic - the gravy from this dish reminds me of my mum's cooking typically made using crushed dried flat fish bone, garlic, tinge of light soya sauce, dash of oyster sauce.  


Braised Pig Trotter - this would have been braised longer at medium fire to lend a more gelatin like consistency for the skin, which in this case had certain corner portions that tastes like rubber.
