The Soon Kee (Boneless) Lor Duck Rice stall we patronised at Longhouse Food Court served a good respectable fragrant braised duck rice. They use a light soya sauce to make the gravy for the rice and it tastes really fragrant. The braised duck meat is cooked to the right consistency and texture, not too hard, and the meat is tender to the taste.
When you dipped the meat into the two types of chilli served at the stall, it gives a sweet vinegary taste to the meat.
The duck meat are sliced into small bite size pieces so the patrons have no difficulty devouring them. The stall has been operated by the Ong brothers.
