19 July 2012, Bob & I headed for De Yun Bak Kut Teh 得运肉骨茶 at Yishun Ave 11 Block 419 for some Bak Kut Teh.
Apart from its signature Bak Kut Teh, De Yun serves a comprehensive spread of dishes : braised chicken winglets, Pig Intestines, Cabbage, Salted Vegetables, Peanuts, Pig trotters, Steamed fish, Soya Bean Curd.
The dishes are pretty much home styled cooking, most of which are prepared wee hours of the morning, except for the fish which are steamed ala minute.

Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs)
Depending on the cook who is on duty for the day, the pork ribs are cooked usually tender and the meat peels off from the rib easily. To have this consistency it is important to slow cook the ribs on low fire so that the meat cooks gently.
