Baja Fresh Mexican Grill at Rendezvous Hotel Part 1


I had a meaningful & fruitful lesson on Mexican Food this past Saturday 5 Jan 2013 when I met Anant & Jaya (his Mrs) at Baja Fresh Mexican Grill at Rendezvous Hotel. 
Now this is the first time in my life that I stepped into a restaurant serving authentic Mexican Food.

In the US, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill is big. If you check out their US website at http://www.bajafresh.com/, more than 90% of Baja Fresh restaurants are owned and operated by Franchisees in more than 27 states, Dubai & Singapore.

Here in Singapore, Anant and his Mrs, Jaya helms   Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, with some investors who are not active in running the business. 

One key uniqueness of Baja Fresh Mexican Grill is that, true to their slogan of :"EAT WELL, LIVE WELL", the restaurant does not carry any freezer, meaning all their food is served fresh. 

Main meat served : shrimp, fish, pork, chicken and they are all hormone free meat! How thoughtful and determined  is the management in making sure healthy food is served here. 

For lamb lovers - good news is that Baja Fresh Mexican Grill will be introducing lamb in February 2013.

And in line with coming Chinese New Year, the restaurant will serve fresh duck breast meat.

Baja Fresh Mexican Grill has a Salsa Corner where diners can help themselves after they have placed their order at the counter, whilst waiting for their order to be served.



The restaurant aims to serve affordable Mexican Cuisine to the mid market, as currently Mexican Cuisine here are priced high. This is a family friendly restaurant. Anant has plans to roll out more outlets in the near future where suitable locations are found.
