The Bruschetta (S$9) served at Swirl@rt is a wonderful starter with Core Ingredients : rip summer fresh tomatoes, fresh garden basil, olive oil, Danish feta crumble and garlic butter.
How it is prepared : The baguette slice is lightly toasted and is crisp. The chef spreads a layer of garlic butter at the base of the baguette slice, top it up with the freshly prepared summer tomato salsa (made with salt, pepper, onion, garlic, pesto sauce, tomato cubes, shredded fresh basil), followed by the Danish feta crumble, and drizzled with a dash of the shredded fresh garden basil and olive oil.
Food Tasting Notes : The taste is garlicky, buttery, creamy & cheesy(due to the feta cheese), lightly sweet (due to onion and tomato), lightly sourly - a great appetizing treat for the start of the day! The pesto sauce used in the salsa lends a flavor like that of Tabasco sauce. The baguette slice is toasted to perfection and is crisp and fresh, and when eaten together with the garlic butter and salsa lends an appetising bite, and gives you a lasting taste of the garlic and salsa that lingers in your palate even after you have swallowed the bruschetta.
