Char Grill Bar is a chain of food outlets mainly located in neighbourhood coffee-shops in Singapore specialising in Western cuisine. The outlet I usually visit operates from Fu Chan Coffeeshop 富城美食 at Block 505 Canberra Link in Sembawang.
The Black Pepper is served piping hot on a hotplate with a bulls design, complete with side dishes - baked potatoes and fries, with sauteed fresh onions. I prefer the steak well done, and the black pepper sauce separately served in a mini cup. For a S$10.90 steak, it is money well spent. The serving size is just right for Asian stomach, the steak cooked just nice & tender, and when dipped into the black pepper sauce, tastes delicious.
The crinkled fries are fried lightly, and I always ask for saltless fries as they taste sweet without the salt.
