Every time I visit a Soup Restaurant I am indeed always humbled by the remembrance of the Samsui Women whose humble beginnings as the construction stalwart in Singapore's early infant days of nation building.
In fact their contributions are so immense, apparent and resonant throughout the entire island of Singapore, yet in stark contrast their Chinese New Year's Specialty Dish - a simple diet of chicken eaten with grated ginger are the basis that forms Soup Restaurant's all time favourite signature dish, and continues to make Soup Restaurant such a heartland restaurant.
Soup Restaurant re-located to level 5 of Causeway Point when it completes renovations end Dec 2012. I was indeed thrilled to see a brighter lit Soup Restaurant, more spacious and upbeat decor.
Chef Xu Pei Chen 许培臣 took time to showcase the promotion for Soup Restaurant which I am so delighted to share with all of you.
