Braised Homemade Spinach Beancurd (S$12.90) is a specialty dish at Grandma's - the chef mixed the beancurd with egg into the beancurd tray and layered the top with thinly sliced spinach, then steamed the beancurd till it is cooked. The beancurd is then sliced into rectangular pieces about 1.5"by 0.5" by 0.5", then pan fried. The chef sauteed the Honshimeiji and Shiitake mushrooms, stir fry with special sauce made from oyster sauce, scallops etc, then drizzled onto the fried beancurd.
Food Tasting Notes : The gravy is savory, lightly sweet. The beancurd is tender, taste lightly eggy. The mushrooms are sauteed nicely and fully infused with the special sauce, are crunchy to the bite.
