Beer Butt Chicken Part 1 - BLooiE's Roadhouse at The Aquarius, Science Park 2


If you have not tried BLooiE's Roadhouse's Signature - Beer Butt Chicken ($38.80++) , you would not have said to have visited BLooiE's. 

The preparation : the fresh whole chicken is marinated with the secret spices and seasonings and chilled overnight to allow the meat to be fully infused with the marinate. Before cooking the chicken, some of the seasonings and spices are inserted into a full can of Tiger beer, the Tiger beer can is then inserted into the butt of the chicken. The whole chicken literally sits on the Tiger beer can and is then placed on the BBQ grill and grilled till juicy and tender. 

The cooking process : what happens is that the Tiger beer steams and cooks the chicken from the inside, while the BBQ grill fire cooks the chicken from the outside giving it a crispy outer skin, thereby sealing the flavors of the chicken completely. From the beer that exudes from the can, the chef made a dipping sauce out of it to go with the Beer Butt chicken. 

To serve : the cooked whole Beer Butt chicken is then carved and served in a platter with fresh vegetable salad and Cajun fries.
