Nothing beats than being surrounded by your loved ones, and having them over for a sumptuous meal.
I celebrated the eve of the new year at the Bedok Branch of Kimly Seafood with Bob, my dear Mum in law who turns 73 on 1 Jan 2012, her favourite son Boon, and Grace, my sis in law.
This time round we leave it to Boon & my Mum in law to order the dishes since it is her special day.
What arrived early at the table was the deep fried pumpkin prawns.

The Chef bothered to add in chilli padi and deep fried basil to give it a touch of spice. The prawns were coated with thin layer of mashed pumpkin, then deep fried. The taste is sweet savoury.

The garlic stir fry Di Huang Miao I find a little tannic to taste, in Hokkien we call it kap-kap
