Song Kee Restaurant re-visited 3 April 2012 Tuesday

Bob & I re-visit our favourite Zhi Char Stall  at Tanglin Halt this past Tuesday 3 April 2012 and ordered something different for dinner. We had the King Prawns stir fry with giant asparagus, and the Thai Pineapple Chicken from auntie, and soup from another stall in the next row.


One thing to note about auntie's ingredient........my oh my, they are HUGE man !
I dare say she's not afraid to get the best ingredients, and huge one, fresh & juicy, in order to bring justice to her culinary haven here at Tanglin Halt.

So you fellow readers....listen very carefully because I am only goin' to say this only ONCE : " Go visit her stall at Tanglin Halt, indulge in restaurant grade food at reasonably affordable price NOW, this is so because auntie is getting on in years, and she may choose to retire any time, and it seems her children are not too keen to helm her business upon her retirement. This is rare opportunity to taste cooking like Mum's cooking."

Important Notice : DO NOT go there on Wednesdays --> It's her rest day.


Stir fry King Prawns with Giant Asparagus







The Chicken Cutlet ( before the Thai Pineapple sauce is added ) Notice the ultra big piece of cutlet.


The Thai Pineapple Chicken after the gravy is drizzled. Notice auntie uses huge chunks of onion & pineapple.
