BALIthai at NEX Part 1

BALIthai is a renowned brand owned & operated by Katrina Holdings, the same group that operates HONGUO which I featured earlier in my Blog. They have been operating BALIthai at NEX since its opening, and have since opened its latest outlet at Causeway Point.

From its name you can deduce that the restaurant serves both Indonesian (first part -BALI) & Thai (second portion - thai) Cuisines. I love both Thai food & Indonesian food, as both cuisines uses a lot of spices, herbs which lend the cuisines their unique Asian flavours.

Here is a peek at the latest menu from BALIthai with a wide selection such that diners are indeed spoilt for choice - from appetisers, soups, seafoods, to meats and vegetables.

BALIthai even have a special menu for Vegans :

Soup Restaurant at NEX Part 2 - Set Menu for 3 pax

It's been almost 3 months since the three of us (yours truly, Aunt Mary, Grandaunt) last gathered for a shopping experience and catching up with each other's lives. We spent no lost time trying to update one another. What best to do so than over a delicious spread of Soup's signature Samsui Ginger Chicken ? Aunt Mary ordered the Set Menu for 3 persons that comes in combo set of 5 dishes:

Samsui Ginger Chicken - star of the set of 5

Claypot Toufu with onion garlicky sauce - the sauce is sweet and very appetising

Lotus with Pork Ribs Broiled Soup - the serving is generous, the pork ribs are nicely broiled to a tenderness where the meat tears off from the cartilage easily.

Hoi Chye in Soya sauce

Minced Pork with Water Chestnut - tastes fairly salty, for those with HBP, do ask for the soya sauce to be separated from the minced meat.

Soup Restaurant at NEX Part 1 - The Ambience The Promotion

I had a women's outing with my maternal Grandaunt and maternal fourth Aunt Mary at NEX on Saturday afternoon. We decided to lunch at Soup Restaurant at NEX.

Sunday is the last day for you to enjoy delicious fresh Yusheng at S$19.80 at Soup Restaurant.
The Promotion

The CNY decorations here at Soup restaurant @ NEX was so refreshingly beautiful I had to refrain  from taking too many photos!

The seating capacity here at Soup @NEX is definitely among the biggest of all Soup's branches in Singapore. The branch here even have private rooms with tables for those diners who want a little privacy to host birthday dinners or anniversary celebrations.
