Menichi has been our choice Ramen joint in part because of the proximity of its northern outlet to our residence in the north, and also because they provide indecisive gluttons like us the choice of having both Ramen and Rice in the same order.
Here is my order of Ramen and Braised Pork rice Combo Set. The Ramen comes with bamboo strips, single pork strip that is boiled till tender, lots of Tau Gay, half of the egg with their signature gluey yolk with a melt in your mouth consistency, all these nestled nicely in the tonkotsu soup - which I happily slurp up with utmost glee.
The Braised Pork Rice comes with the pork braised with Menichi's special sauce that tastes sweet and fragrant. The pork has been stewed for hours to give it a tender melt in your mouth feel.
