Shishamo (Smelt) - 4 inch long, with a chewy texture, eaten whole roe and all, tastes lightly sweet salty with the teriyaki sauce, here's where you pump up on your omega -3 and calcium.
The bite size grilled baby potatoes look like fishball, and is delightfully soft with a smooth texture.
The satay comes in two flavors : pork or beef. I prefer the beef as I find the marinate is totally infused into the beef giving it a delightfully tasty fragrant flavor, the beef meat being tendered grilled to perfection, tastes great even without dipping into the peanut satay sauce. Due to yours truly's peanut allergy, I try my best to do without the peanut satay sauce lest I break out into rashes again.
The diced onions, cucumbers and ketupat lends a tasty crunch to the satay, and aids to provide a refreshing balance to the lemak flavor of the satay and the meats.
