It is made with sweet dates diced into bits, and tastes sweet because of the natural sweetness of the dates. Base layer is made up of Josconde Sponge, followed by layer of date with cream, then by sponge, lastly the top most layer is made of almond sweet date mousse. In between the layer there is butter scotch sauce, and toasted almond slices. Almond flavor comes through distinctly in the mousse. The dates used are from USA. This cake resemble the Sticky Date pudding. Ingredients : brown sugar, sticky dates from USA - extracted & blended into mousse.
