Gnocchi (pronounced as Nyo-Kee) di Patate is a potato pasta (potato dumpling) where the potato is wrapped with a layer of pasta.
This dish is made using Core Ingredients - onions, gnocchi, sliced fresh Shiitake mushrooms, celery stalks, fresh asparagus, fresh garlic slices, Bay leaves, Pomodoro sauce, garnished with coriander leaves.
How it is prepared - The Gnocchi pasta is cooked with fresh julienned Shiitake mushrooms, celery stalks, fresh thinly sliced asparagus, fresh garlic slices, Bay leaves, in the Chef's special Pomodoro & cream sauce.
Tasting Notes - The gnocchi has a chewy al dente bite. The Shiitake mushroom & asparagus are thinly julienned & the ingredients are served in a tomato cream sauce made using Pomodoro sauce & cream to lend a tomato tarty flavor. The fresh julienned Shiitake mushroom are lightly sauteed & still retain a crunch when you bite into it. They are infused with the Pomodoro sauce to give you a creamy savory flavor.
The asparagus is so thinly julienned & cooked well done so that it is totally infused with the Pomodoro sauce. The fresh onions thinly julienned adds a sweet flavor to this dish. This is indeed a real comfort food in authentic Italian style.
