Table At 7 at 7 Mohamed Sultan Rd S(238957) an Italian Wine Club Wine Dinner - Food Tasting Notes

Starter 
Char Grilled Prawn & Squid, Black Shrimp Sambal, Kaffir Lime & Rocket Salad.

Tasting Notes - The prawn is very fresh, juicy & sweet. The black shrimp sambal lends a sweet tangy savoury flavor to the fresh prawn. The fresh squid rings are cooked just right to give a chewy bite. The kaffer lime juice when squeezed onto the prawn & squid rings gives an added citrus flavor & brings out the freshness of the seafood very well. The rocket with EVOO blends very well with the seafood to give added crunchy texture to this dish. 






Entree
Homemade Tagliatelle with Forest Mushrooms, Parmesan, Crispy Serrano Ham

Tasting Notes - The homemade Tagliatelle is evenly coated with EVOO, cooked only slightly al dente, fully infused with the flavors of the sauteed Forest mushrooms, Serrano Ham & Parmesan to lend a salty savory buttery creamy taste. 






Entree 2 
Pan Seared Jumbo Quail with 5 Spice Reduction
Roasted Pine Nuts & Baby Spinach 

Tasting Notes - Chef pan sears the quail till it is well done on the outside giving a firm texture, & slightly al dente on the inside to give a more tender bite on the inside. The reduced 5 spice lends a savory lightly salty sweet flavor infused into the quail meat.

Main Course
Tender Slow Cooked Wagyu Oxtail in Semur Spices. 
Double Steamed Yellow Ginger Rice, Glazed Root Vegetables.

Tasting Notes - The yellow ginger rice used here is risotto rice which is double steamed to give that soft gluey bite. The wagyu oxtail has been slow stewed for hours to give a wholesome tender melt in your mouth texture, with a strong lemak fragrant savoury coconut flavor.











Dessert 
Blue Cheese & Cabernet Tart, Walnut Crumble & Roasted Grapes 

Tasting Notes - I love the Blue Cheese with a texture that really melts in your mouth & intense blue cheese flavor lingering in your palate, great pairing with the nutty walnut & sweet roasted grapes.
