Chocolate Lava Cake - Morganfield's™ at The Star Vista

If you just had enough room just for one dessert, I'd strongly recommend Morganfield's™ Chocolate Lava Cake.

The chocolate lava cake is dense, moist, thick and very chocolatety, yet not extremely sweet, and is still warm when served. The chocolate lava oozes out of the cake when cut. It is served with vanilla ice- cream and caramel sauce.

5. Morganfield's™ Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs
The spare ribs are slow cooked with hickory smoke, grilled, basted in Hickory BBQ sauce, then served with French fries and coleslaw. 
Personally I prefer the Hickory BBQ spare ribs over the Smoked Peppercorn flavour as I prefer the sweet BBQ taste. 
The French fries tastes absolutely sweet on their own. The serving size below of half a slab can be shared by 2 pax. 







Seafood Basket - Morganfield's™ at The Star Vista

Diners at Morganfield's™ who prefers harvest from the sea can dig into Morganfield's™ Seafood Basket.

The fish fillet, prawns and calamari is dipped into beer batter, deep fried and served with French fries, coleslaw and tangy tartar sauce. 



The fish fillet tastes lightly sweet with the beer batter on its own, the tartar sauce gives an added vinegary sourly twist to the fillet. The combination leeks of freshness. Yummy ! The chef takes pains to ensure the oil temperature is just right when deep frying the fillet, prawns, calamari, so the seafood basket served is not oily at all!

4. Roulade Chicken 
This is essentially bacon wrapped chicken thigh stuffed with sausage, served with red skin mashed potato, veggies, and pommery mustard sauce. 

The pommery mustard sauce lends a creamy texture to the tender chicken meat, the sausage stuffing has a melt in your mouth feel, and the bacon gives it a savory flavour - a winning combination! 

(The Roulade Chicken reminds me of Chinese Ngor Hiang - pork minced meat mixed with seasoning, spices, water chestnuts and rolled in bean curd skin then deep dried.)

Smoked Peppercorn Spare Ribs - Morganfield's™ at The Star Vista

Dear meat lovers, you are said to have never really tasted Morganfield's™ if you did not order Morganfield's (Home Of Sticky Bones) Signature  - Hickory Wood Smoked Ribs

The ribs are smoked with hickory wood to lend the meat a delightful BBQ flavour. The meat is slowly cooked to a tenderness, and the meat tears off the rib bone easily, and is best eaten with your hands. 

2. Smoked Peppercorn Spare Ribs 
They are served with mashed potato and vegetables. The Black Peppercorns gives the ribs a spicy taste. 
The full slab below serves 4 pax (for small eaters) if you plan to share your food. 






The mash potato, lightly flavoured with herbs & spices, has a melt in your mouth feel. I love it !



Sauteed Mushroom - Morganfield's™ at The Star Vista

1. Sauteed Mushrooms
The King mushrooms are sauteed with Merlot garlic butter, then sprinkled with spring onions, grated  Parmesan cheese, and drizzled with olive oil. The King mushrooms taste deliciously fresh, the Merlot garlic butter, spring onions and cheese lends it a savoury flavour.

3. Smokehouse Bacon Cheese Burger 
The beef patty is made in house & grilled to perfection, topped with Cheddar cheese and sauteed king mushroom, onion, tomato slice, lettuce and bacon, and served with French fries.

The straight cut French fries and fried perfectly well, and taste great on its own without any condiments. I absolutely enjoyed it. 






May Yee, Marketing Manager-Morganfield's and my host for the food tasting, ordered the beef to  be cooked medium well. The beef patty is cooked nicely well, the meat tender and juicy with herbs & spice added to give it a delightful country flavour.

The fresh onions are sauteed lightly to lend the burger its sweet flavour. The baked bacon gives the burger a savoury taste.
